I don’t like using my blog as a public forum to air my personal dealings with my family but I do believe this is an excellent medium for transparency.

Last night I was rude to my wife and hurt her as a result. I apologized, but I did it with the intent of defending my position and not with the intent of seeing her made whole.

I found this quote online today by G.K. Chesterton that I felt was totally appropriate.

When we hurt another person we need to apologize with the intent of seeing them made whole. Nothing more, nothing less.

Sarah, I am sorry. I love you and always want to see you made whole.
