Ok, I was in 6th grade and it was the “All School Skate Night”. My single focus that night was the couples skate and the slim chance I might get to skate with super hot, Kimberly Bacon. (No relation to the great Kevin Bacon) However it never failed that the skate nerd, the guy who was only cool when we went skating because he could skate backwards, scored the couples skate with Kimberly.

Well, for all those that remember the glory days of the Roller Rink here is the cover of “Skate” magazine Spring 1971. Featured on the cover is the Aurora, Colorado “Skate City”. (P.S. I am not THAT old. My heyday was more 1986 but the vibe was the same!)
